Proud, amazed, hopeful, and inspired. That's what I felt after our event in Vancouver where we welcomed 22 young girls from Canadian Girls in Science. We opened our doors to the burgeoning scientists and their parents. We went on a tour of the facility and then into the lab to demonstrate parts of the drug manufacturing process: mixing, filtering, and filling. My colleagues at Vancouver Laboratories are so sporty! We tracked our activities — walking, hiking, biking, and playing sports — for a month while raising money for the Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia. It was a great way to improve our own health and wellness while competing against other companies in our region. And we finished in 5th place!
